Even though I do not barrack for Pies, does anyone on this forum think the
misty weather was a factor in the Pies losing today?

No not at all dude. I was there and Melbourne were awesome all day and
killed Collingwood in the centre bounces and around the ground. They were
simply too good on the day and any silly excuses would be taking away
something from Melbourne's superiority. Well done Dees, top effort. The pies
need to freshen up during the break and get some solid form back if they are
to be anything other than a pretender this year. Very disappointing output
from them today I thought.

well said Laz mate, I agree and i think it'd be disrespectful to the Pies to
try to blame the loss on "mist"

Yeah I reckon Collingwood are pretenders this year. They will crumble at
around round 13 when my team the Tigers will thump them.

The so called misty grass was not issue by that loser who called on talk
back radio just after the game.

It wasn't even misty. Melbourne had the clearest day in a week today.
They did turn the lights on at 5 minutes into the first quarter tho.

Laz, during the call Robert Walls said Dale Thomas needs a few weeks in the
twos to have a rest and eat a few big meals. Do you agree?

This is a hard one. Unrealistic expectations of players ONLY helps to set
them up for failure. Not many first year players end up like Chris Judd and
play consistent footy in their very first year. That is an unrealistic
expectation as they will have their highs and lows. Given that, I would
still play Thomas and continue to give him experience and confidence as
there is no doubt he is good enough to play in that company. He wasn't our
worst player today by a long shot and kicked two goals. He and Pendlebury
both did ok and deserve not to be dropped. However I would drop Morrison in
a blink of an eye.

What facts do you have to support your opinion?
