Picked up the 880 today having spent a bit of time researching it and mainly wanting to find out if it supported Foxtel.
So, I've tried to set it up, thinking I'm quite able & competent with these sort of things, but I've got absolutely nowhere and now I’m incredibly frustrated!
The Equipment I've got:
LG Plasma TV - 42PX3R
LG DVD Recorder / VCR Combo - RC195
Foxtel Digital - Pace 420NF
We never watch free to air TV, we watch everything through Foxtel. My TV needs to be on Component1, Foxtel on and the DVD player on AV1 - then we only use the TV controls for volume and picture aspect whilst we use the foxtel control to navigate the TV guide / planner / information on programs etc.
With this configuration I can:
Turn foxtel off and then just press play to watch a DVD.
Turn foxtel off then just press play to watch a Video.
Have foxtel on and watch all the digital channels I’ve got.
I've been through the set up process online and when I go back to the TV its all over the shop!! I can’t get it to do anything I want - which is rather frustrating to say the least.
Couple of questions, has anyone else got a similar set up of equipment - just the basics or alternatively - can anyone recommend a Mr Fix It who I can call and he can come round and do it all for me!!?
Thanks all and please feel free to email me - nick@worldnomads.com
Cheers
