not on topic, but anyway:
Got a cheap-arse tv - 2 av ins and 1 svideo. BUT, when you plug
anything into svideo, you lose the ability to switch between av's.
Even if there is no actual device plugged into the cable, the moment
you plug a cable into the socket, it takes effect. What's up? How
would I go about fixing it?

Thats what you get for being a cheapo and not paying a decent amount for a
decent TV

Get a switch from dick smiths that allows you to plug your gear into that
and then plug that into the s video.
Or do as the other guy said and don't be such a cheap scate.
