Hi again all
Am wondering how good the latest offering of Chinese LCD touchscreen remotes
are...... have seen numerous offerings on eBay but it's all a bit
onfusing - I have owned various ones several years ago and while all had
their benefits, each had its limitations for example, they wouldn't learn
one of my TV's codes etc.
Am just wondering if there is a remote out there - even a brand name I
guess - that can do the following:
Large screen size - more like a 5 inch screen than a large mobile phone
screen
Learn practically every basic function from up to 8 devices
change icons on the touch screen to suit the piece of equipment
have downloadable software/firmware upgrades
allow icons to be imported via PC etc.
fully support renaming of controls
built in rechargeable battery
..... or if regular batteries, doesn't die after 3 weeks like the old Sony
one I had
I am sure I could come up with other needs but this would be a good start
:)))
any info gratefully received

just looking around, it does seem that the Sony RM-AX4000 remote will do
much of what I need. Don't think it's available in Oz, unless it is marketed
under a different number here.

A Pronto does all you require. http://www.remotecentral.com/ is a good
resource.
