V8s say it is too close to Perth round.
F1 says because V8s are on a differnet channel from F1 next year.

I dare say F1 is closest to the mark here.
A bit disapointing the V8s put on a good show at the F1.

Great!
I'd love to see the Nascars again, or some sort of GT or production car
racing. The drifters would be a good spectacle too.

No, they don't.
They follow each other around and crash whenever they try to pass.

Is Schumaker teaching them his overtaking techniques?

IMO its good to watch at the track but crap on TV.

IMO driving standards are very poor in the V8's, most of the time it
resembles a demolition derby.

Suprising as it may seem - I'm going to stand up for the local talent.
I think a lot of it is the result of the governing body and what they will
implicitly approve. The masses seem to love the rubbing panels style of
racing and so it's tolerated.
I expect most of the drivers would prefer it were otherwise, because
crashes and contact aren't why they are there.

I'm sure there are plenty of historical (and hysterical) categories that
cater for you then.

V8 Sillycars or Formula 1....
