If you saw Top-Gear last night, J.C. got his dream car [a FaRt for FFS,
i.e. just another BlueOval junkbox] and u guessed it, like most FaRt's
it was/is a total LEMON...
So much so, after nth return to dealer for warranty failures, he phoned
FaRt HQ TO BITCH and surprise surprise they refunded his money:
http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,12529-1677058,00.html
G O L D [and true] comment by FaRt employee “They all do that”
U can pay GBP126,000 for a Ford but you cannot take the Ford out of a
Ford....
I believe he now owns a *quality* Ferrari 360 Modena

FWIW, Fifth Gear featured a more authentic GT40 replica a couple of months
ago - Tiff really *really* liked it.
Made in South Africa I think.
He doesn't care much for the Ford one.

If Jeremy ordered a Lexus instead, this would not have happened....

A car is a lemon because of a very minor problem with an aftermarket
alarm system?
Grow a brain will you.
The problem is as much about the inability of whoever is supposed to fix
it than the problem itself, if they found someone with a clue about that
system it should be fixed easily and if it wasn't the system could be
replaced with a better one.

1 - It's a Ford GT - not a GT40.
2 - Many of his problems were related to the *aftermarket* alarm/satellite
tracking system.
3 - What sort of person, has a lexus as their dream car?

They're Toyotas, in Japan - because in Japan,
Toyota_Is_Jap-Speak_for_Wanker.
Of course, in Australia,
Just JT_is_Aussie-Speak_for_Wanker.

Yeah, no way Toyota would have given the man his money back. They don't need
favours from anyone.

If the dealer sold it to him with that on, it's Ford's problem.

Actually, yes, I think that's sort of the point. Like I said in my
first post on the dream cars subject, while I want to own a VE SS right
now, if money were no object I would probably go and buy something else
(as well as the SS).
There's a difference between your dream car, and the car you'd like to
own taking into account practical concerns like your bank balance.

There is one, but I can't remember what it's called or whether it's in
production or just a Toyota show car with a Lexus badge on it.
