This might sound silly, but how about not keeping the sign in either of
the cars, but keeping it around your kid. I don't mean stuck to their
head or something nasty, but if they are at home, keep it there, and
then anyone who takes her to the shops, or whatever can grab it and put
it in their car as they go.
