Good Evening all,
I thought some of you might be interested in some information that i have
just learnt.
Upfront i would like to say i have sworn not to name names (Yet) so please
forgive me for this.
I just got off the phone ot a very good friend of mine i will call G who is
having a bit of trouble with a local Audio dealer here in Victoria, G
approched a dealer
in search of a particular amplifer and the deal told him that he have one
coming in a few days later on trade in.
G asked the dealer the particulars on this amp and was told that the dealer
had originally sold it to the customer and it was approx 2.5 to 3 years old
so G purchased the amp from the dealer.
This particular amp had the ablity to be upgraded so G contacted the service
agent only to be told the amp was in fact 5 years to 6 years old not 2.5 to
3 as was described by the dealer. The age difference means the amp is using
older output stages, power supplier, caps and so on, not waht G wanted or
needed.
G contacted the dealer the next day and told him what the story was and by
the sound of it the dealer played dumb and the dealer told him he would find
another amp to replace it. The day after this G rang the dealer and told him
he would like a refund wanting to take the oppertunity to purchase a amp off
ebay at the correct vintage but (Get this) the dealer tells G that his
customer has already picked up his money and it was not possible.
MY GOD!
The dealer lies to G about the age of the unit that was traded in then tells
him because the other customer picked up the money no refund is possible, G
has contacted the Fair Trading commision who agree with him 100% that he is
due a refund.
We are talking about a dealer selling to a customer not a customer to a
customer
I am telling you this because i would like everyone to be on their toes when
pruchasing anything as there is alot of dodgy buggers out there.
As mentioned i have sworn not to name but as soon as i have the go ahead i
will not only name names on the NG but all the other forums i belong to,
This sort of thing has to stop

Hi all
The main reason i didnt mention names is that G has submitted a letter to the dealer requesting a full refund under instructions from the Fair trading commision so he does not want his chances dashed by exposiing the trader at this point.
As with anything its always best to give a vendor a chance to do the right thing and if he does then no harm no faul and put it down t a learning experience.
I have dealt with this dealer for some time as well but this sort of thing is not on and i will not let some past good experiences get in the way of exposing him on every Audio forum in Oz.

Hmmmm, lets have a look at the clues.
The amp has the ability to be upgraded. Well any amp could probably be
upgraded, but easiest and most likely, I think, would be an aussie made
amp. How many is there.
The first brand that comes to mind is the Elektra. They have the
ability to be upgraded from 6 to 7 channel, so I've heard. Don't know
about the old 5 channel though.
>From what I have heard the older models had a not so good power supply
which would make upgrading more difficult and expensive, and therefore
much less desirable than a model of a recent vintage. Who else wants to
take a guess. Who sells Elektra in Vic.
Dezza.

Mate what ths fuck is your issue
Do you under stand what has happend here? Do you understand that we have a vendor that will screw any unsuspecting customer blind
Do you under fucking stand if a name is named the vendor may deside fuck him and not do the right thing. This arse wipe has done it before
If you has any common sense you would see what is happening and why its happening this way
the vendor as most vendors reads this forum and i am getting a message to him that he will be named unless he does the right thing
So do you want me to name names and wreck any chance of G getting a refund to make you feel better
Ths vendor has until tomorrow morning to contact G or he will be named on here , DBA and all other Oz based forums and with the help of a few friends targeted Ebay ads (They work a treat)
If you want the name so bad to make you feel better email me

Waste of bandwidth as you're too gutless to name the dealer. You have warned

Man do you get why i have not said anything
What if you were in this situation and a friend went and wreked any chance
of getting satisfaction because of this big mouth
This has been put up here because we know for fact the deal reads these
forums and this will let him know we aint fucking around
I have heard of one other occastion this twerp hase done this and it really
pisses me off so i will make it my lifes mission to expose him EVERY way
possible
Yes this does hit a nerve with me for two reasons
It is a personal friend that it happened to and it is giving all use dealers
a bad name to a degree
Yes i am a dealer but you will not find me trying to sell my wares to you on
here
