I find using the increase and decrease of 2kph useful in light
traffic, but then it is a manual.

Maybe its something to do with the Ford electronic throttle?
The CC on the NC11 Fairlane I owned didn't have that problem and the CC
on our new Impreza with electronic throttle doesn't operate that way.

Yep. My WRX one is dead on. Doesn't surge or anything. Same with our
Forrester GT.

Throttle response seems fine to me too. It does take a little getting
used to the clutch though.
