g'day,

on my old machine i have a dual boot win98/xp.

a few months back i used p.m to change the space on on c: & e: drives,
that worked very well, well at least i had no problems.

now i need to allocate more space to e: drive where xp is installed,
there is space on c: drive no being used.

but when i do the excercise to do the physical change i get this error
message when the computer is in DOS doing the changes.

<error 2003 while executing batch

error 2003 file size does not match FAT allocation for file>

how can i reallocate free sapce or get rid of the above error problem?

tia
With peace and brightest of blessings,

len

Old fella,

I would be booting off the XP CD and going to the first repair prompt and
then doing a chkdsk /r were I you. Sounds like you have unresolved disk
errors to me that may well reside on currently unused areas. using the /r
will check the entire disk.

PM - the earlier versions never worked that well with XP anyway, - and
the later versions are from Symantec .... 'nuff said.

Time to update - d/load Acronis DiskDirector

PM was always relatively good and stable with 98(SE) - they just
didn't put much extra research into the later versions for XP (NT
systems)
