View Full Version : Mobile Phone Upgrade Centre - spammers?

My caller ID has logged two or three calls over the past month from an
Adelaide number which, when looked up via the Grey Pages, turns out to
belong to:

MOBILE PHONE UPGRADE CENTRE PTY LTD
10 CAMERON RD MT BARKER, SA

Does anyone know who this lot is and what they are doing calling me? No
message was left any of the times they called, but since I have no business
with them I can only assume they are cold-calling spammers. And quite
incompetent spammers, too, if they neglect to block the sending of their
number :-)

The number, by the way, was 08 8398 1300, in case anyone else has noticed
this on their call log and wondered who it might be.

Or they just have the incorrect number for a customer of theirs...

If that was the case, you'd think that the first time they called and got
an answering machine message saying "Hello, this is Anthony," they would
have realised and not kept calling...
