Any opinions on this car? In the market soon for a small car and don't want
to get your standard "run of the mill" Fiesta/Swift/Mazda2/Yaris etc. I like
the looks alot but worry about reliability, servicing and parts. Any
opinions greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Test drive it. I'm not sure if it's in the same price range, but if so,
test drive a RenaultSport Clio and VW Polo GTI too.

The importer won't give Wheels a car to road test. That alone would
make me nervous.

I would look at the C2 VTS before looking at the C2 VTR. More power,
improved suspension set up, a normal manual gearbox instead of the
annoying Sensodrive automated sequential manual (which people either
hate or love, but mostly hate). A better car to drive in general.

Hmm the Clio is about $10k more sadly, as is Mini Cooper. Polo is closer. In
fact, there doesn't seem to be a lot of competition for the VTS around the
$23k mark.

I wonder what is wrong with it, then.

About the only competition it might have at that price point could be
the new Suzuki Swift GTi (or whatever the new one will be called) which
is apparently coming pretty soon.

Yes, the 5 door Suzuki Swift Sport, which is supposed to be going on
sale at $23990.
