Sorry, lost track of the 3G debate. Too old to understand all of the
tech stuff.
Gotta ask, though, where does my Motorola V3X fit in?
Which 3G will it operate on? I mean...what's the difference? Why two
frequency ranges?
Or have I fucked up, completely?
Please be gentle.....I come here for info. Not combat.
Currently using a 2G Simplus SIM. The best that is available, here.
No big deal....got it as a "reward" for coming back to Telstra after a
hissy fit when they took forever to get me back online after some
'puter problems and I cancelled all of my Telstra services.
Thanks

Looking at http://www.motorola.com we see it operates on "Bands: UMTS 2100
/ GSM 900/1800/1900"
hence it will work on 4 different bands.
What do you mean by "f*d up completely?".
BTW it will not work on Tesltra's soon to be released new 3G network because
it will operate at 850 MHz using UMTS.

Thanks.
What I meant by that colourfull enunciation was "have I missed
something completely obvious". I tend to do that. VB disease.
Not to mention old age.
So, it IS G3 capable.....but not on the 850MHz band.
OK.....so I am gonna miss all of that cool stuff?
That is, the G3 my phone is capable of is obsolete before I, even, get
access to it?
That's technology, I suppose.
Thanks for the tolerant attitude, though.
Uncommom, here.
