Hi all,

Really sorry if this question is a silly one- hope someone can help. I
bought a nokia 1100 from virginmobile before I left to live in
Singapore, intending to use it over here with a singapore sim.

It's locked to virgin (which they didn't tell me when I asked in store)
Ideally, I'd like to try and unlock it myself. I've been to trycktill
and generated a code, but my problem is- I turn the phone on and
because I dont have roaming on the virgin sim, it doesnt find a
network. I can enter numbers on the screen but can't get the letters on
the screen to enter the unlock code I generated. Multiple key presses
results in multiple numbers, no letters.

Can anyone make any suggestions or point out what I'm doing wrong? My
next step is to go to a shop and get them to do it, but it's quite
expensive.

Thanks, Lise.
