Anyone watch Survivor? (no derogatory comments please)

Lex is really starting to stick his neck out, and it wouldnt surprise me to see him get flicked in the next couple of weeks. Depending how much he starts to "lead" and rub people up the wrong way.

The old Samboru missed a golden opportunity to form an alliance with Clarence last night. With votes against him, he wouldve probably gone anyway.....

heh,heh.....:)
I love this kind of stuff and yeah, I think Lex has blown it.
Things have been getting good and I'm looking forward to the remainder of the series.

Do you watch The Amazing Race? I think that is my fave "reality" show at the moment.:)

No spoilers in your replies please people. :)

The Amazing Race? No, what channel/time .... how about a brief description.

Channel 7 around 10:40pm on tuesdays, but it's been off air for a couple of weeks and I think it returns next week.

They basically started with something like 10 teams of two people and the show is a race through different parts of the world, while doing challenges along the way.
The eventual winning team gets 1 million dollars US.
Teams are all sorts of people who were selected such as a mother/daughter team, a pair of middle aged gay guys, a couple of college buddies, two seperated parents, the list goes on.....

I missed the first episode, but teams found themselves in a foreign country where they are all given a cryptic clue to get somewhere. They race to get to that place for the next clueto somewhere else or to do a task.
Along the way(once in each episode), one person from each pair has to choose to do a task and it can be anything from being a passenger in $300,000 sports car to the next check point or riding a camel in the desert for miles , while the other has to walk it.

All teams have to do all this and race to the last stop for the episode. The last team in is cut from the show and are out for good.
The first team in is the first to leave the next day, the next teams are timed as they come in and and must wait that amount of time before leaving after the first team.

The show has had them going everywhere from Paris, Italy to India and language barriers cause problems in their travels and tasks.

The two gay guys are really up themselves and constantly do things to try and stuff up the other teams. It's caused a lot of conflict. You also see the other teams get edgy and fight between themselves.
There's also the suspense in watching them all race to the next point.

I think I've rambled enough.
It's an awesome show and try to catch it. :)

It has bumped Survivor III to #2 on my list.

Wow, sounds interesting, will look out for it.

How many teams are left?

Ummm.....I think it's 5 teams left.
I don't want to look it up online because of spoilers.
It hasn't been on for a couple of weeks.

The mother/daughter team were just behind the gay guys and came last in the episode that was played last, but the episode turned out to be one that nobody is eliminated and the mother/daughter are still in the race.

I just had a very brief glimpse of an add for Survivor III and it looks like one of those "closer look at the series" shows rather than the usual show.

Dont come close, only 90 odd movies. But probably only half where the audio really stood out - T2UE tonight  .

I won't mention any spoilers at this point as the show has only just ended, but how about that result. :D
It was a pretty interesting vote tonight and it's going to be good to see what happens next week because of it.

Well, well, well - just when you thought it was all cut and dried, Lex goes on a HUGE paranoia trip - and almost shoots himself in the foot !!!

I was willing that last vote to be Lex, what an absolute turkey, the way he carried on.

At 1st I thought, Brandon you moron, changing camps!!! But then I had another think, Kelly was out to save her @rse. She had no loyalty to her new alliance, and therefore was abit shaky to be putting your faith in.

But then again, how solid is Brandons new alliance, with Lex becoming nuttier than a fruitcake?

Should be interesting to see if Brandon sticks by his new buddies. OR if any alliance has any real meaning anymore, and all bets are off ???

Hey, I've been thinking about this. Brandon's move could be a stroke of genius, I may not have been paying him enough credit?

As it stands now, there are 4 original Boran players, and 4 original Samburu. But Lex has 6+ (?) votes against him. In a tie, Lex will be gone, and the Samburu tribe would gain the upper hand. Staging what I consider, would be the comeback of the new millenium !

By eliminating the rest of Boran, Brandon will be left with an older lady, a not particularly athletic young lady, and a brain dead ex soldier in Frank. You'd have to fancy his chances, even if he is not much of an athlete himself - he's got a better chance than trying to overcome Ethan, Lex and Tom.

Lex has to win tonights immunity, to save the Boran players hopes. Cant wait . . .

Yeah, it's going to be a beauty tonight.
Can't wait too!

What do you think about Ethan's days being numbered as the guy can win just about anything.

Yeah, Ethan is looking tough to beat in the challenges, and that makes him a marked man. He gets along with everyone, and just seems to go with the flow.

Last weeks challenges revealed his intelligence, aswell as his athletic abilities.

Tonight will be a big turning point to the outcome of the game, and to Ethans chances of going all the way !

Well, in the end Brandon was abit stupid to put his faith in Boran (Lex). He really shouldve worked harder to smooth things over with the remaining Samburu tribe.

If ever I saw someone taking a dive in a challenge, it was Ethan. Geez, his fire barely even started to smoke by the time Lex had a raging fire going.

Have a good Xmas guys . . .

Brandon was such a fool and he stuffed himself up in a big way.
It did make me laugh when he teamed up with Frank and then went on to win.

I'm guessing that Frank or Lex will be next.

I cant believe Lex is winning all these immunities !!!

The way Frank was carrying on, it almost sounded like he wanted to go !

Teresa is fighting very hard to stay alive. It doesnt surprise me she's using the women v men angle to try and gain support. With 3 guys and gals left, you would think OldKim would be silly to stick with her Boran allegiance. She hasnt got a hope against those 3 guys in the immunities. If the 3 girls voted together, and took Lex out next week, it is there only chance IMO .

PS: How about all those close up shots of YoungKim's butt in the bikini :p , nice but gee I miss Elizabeth.

Hmmm.....I didn't think the vote was going to go that way last night.
I thought Lex was finally getting the big boot up his backside, but he lasted yet again and I didn't expect young Kim to get the boot.

SPOILER

Sh!t yeah !!!! I was sure Lex was GONE ! Teresa's mistake was telling OldKim she could get Tom to vote with them. She shouldve assured OldKim that a 3 all tie would see Lex voted off due to the number of votes stacked against him. There wouldve been 3 ladies allied together, and Ethan/Tom would be relying on immunities to survive.

BUT, I suspect OldKim is very closely allied with Ethan (an alliance within an alliance), which hasnt been shown. Back in the early eps, Ethan was worried about the fact they were losing alot of challenges due to OldKim stuffing up, and that he really had to rethink his strategic alliances.

If that is the case, and those 2 are quietly alligned. Ethan could swing over to an alliance with OldKim/Teresa, get rid of the 2 main dangers in Tom/Lex, and have a great shot at taking out the million bucks?
