S410i problem - I-mode

First off, I don't know a whole lot about mobiles. It's the main technology I'm behind on, this is my first mobile with ANYTHING good (including a camera!).

Ok, well I just purchased a Samsung SGH-S410i mobile phone. It's currently a Telstra Pre-paid plan. I live in Western Australia.
Whenever I try to connect to i-mode or i-mail, i get the error 'Illegal APN'. I have no idea what this means, but I have searched EVERYWHERE on the internet and on my phone so I had to make a post for help. I found in my i-mode settings different profiles with lots of settings and I dont know what any of them mean.

The setup is:
Profile name: Telstra
Proxy port: (I'm not posting this on the internet because of privacy)
and below that I cannot see unless I go to the next profile, it will not let me scroll down. On the next profile it is as follows:
Profile name: I-mode
Proxy port: (I'm not posting this on the internet because of privacy)
SSL port: (I'm not posting this on the internet because of privacy)
Proxy host: 0.0.0.0
Portal URL: http://
Mail URL: http://
MMS URL: http://
APN: (This is blank)
User ID: (This is blank)
User Password: (This is blank)
This is exactly how it's written. After each : there is a box which I can write in.

Please help! I cannot send or receive MMS without I-mode it seems, and that really sucks!

for the APN entry this should NOT be blank, it should be set to either
telstra.wap or telstra.internet
Considering you're on pre-paid you only have access to telstra.wap so
that is what you need to add.
The error you're receiving is because you don't have any APN listed.

Thanks, the APN error does not come up anymore, but when I try click 'Menu' in I-mode, something flashes that says Retreiving and then goes away, so nothing happens. Also when I try to use i-mail, and check for new mail it says 'Could not receive'. Why would this be?

Also, in my i-mode settings there are two more blank spaces:
User ID: (blank)
User Password: (blank)

Does that effect this? Thanks.

Just call 125 111 to have it set yp

You can send MMS without imode

I called 125 111 and got everything running, and when he asked for my model number, I said S410i and he said it wasn't on his list. What. The. F*CK!?
I have i-mode. But it's not on the telstra list for I-mode? What the hell is the deal with that? Pre-paid customers can get i-mode, can't they?
This mobile was bought with no sim card in it, and I went out and bought a Telstra pre-paid starter pack.

Why isnt it working? :|
Does it matter if you've used the SIM card in another mobile before? I used the same card in my old Nokia for about 10 months.

I had working I-Mode on a Motorola E378i (before I lost that phone) on
Telstra Prepaid.
