NextG Data costs

I'm having difficulties in locating Telstra's pricing plans for what it
calls "data calls" on the new NextG service. I've found the page for the
plans. For example, a $30 plan has $25 inc. voice calls and $5 inc.
data. I was hoping that if someone is better at navigating Telstra's
website, maybe they can be kind enough to point me in the right
direction.

If I understand the blurb correctly, customers on NextG can have a
mobile phone on a conventional plan, and browsing on the phone will cost
X. While using a laptop/PC and appropriate hardware they can access the
internet via the NextG network but using different protocols? Is that
correct? And if so the customer would be charged Y for data?

I find Telstra's website unnavigable, too. Largely.
And, heck, I spent a lifetime interpreting and implementing Federal
Government policy.

Hi, yes that's true. But straight data plans, such as with the hsdpa card, require a seperate sim I believe. A data call is by gprs connection, and doesn't have anything to do with actually dialing a number for a connection, like dial up internet. Also, why not check out the data packs? I think if you click product and services-mobile use the left nav bar to find everything

There is no capped option, you pay for a set amount of meg then charged for
extra, this is a change from the old days of $5 per month extra would see
you coverd. I found this out when I noticed $60 worth of data calls one
month.
