I've been running both my Media Centre PC and my Xbox 360 via a Pyrod
37" television and the experience is great, but has a couple of issues
I've thought to post to see if I am the only one, or maybe someone else
is having same issues...
Note: this TV only offically supports 1080i on selected ports (1 x
Component & 1 x DVI), the other ports support only 720p, and even one
only supports lower..
Setup:
- Media Centre connected via DVI to DVI (1080p)
- Xbox 360 connected via Component (720p)
Great things:
1) Managed to pump out 1080p (!!!) to TV via DVI from my WMC PC via a
GeCube ATI x600. Before I purchased this screen I saw others able to
put out 1080p, and this is one of the reasons I got it.. so cheap for a
1080p screen at $1,899!
Issues:
1) With my Xbox 360, I have noticed that when there is a bright orange
line/object or even a bright yellow object is on the screen, there
appears to be a "line" stripped right across the whole screen very
faintly - it moves with it also.
Example: With PGR3, when you have "Press Start to Begin" and it's
flashing in a orange colour, there appears to be a "bar/line" the
height of the text and the length of the whole screen, and it's faintly
flashing along with the object/text.. I guess it only makes sense if
you see it first hand.
2) With Xbox 360's latest update to allow for 1080p, I was very excited
about testing it with this screen. I am sad to say it doesn't work,
just says "No Sync"
I have thought maybe the 1080p via the 360 will only work via VGA, so I
have ordered a VGA cable to test it with, and I hope it works.. I'll
update this if it does.
As anyone experienced my issues? Or own a Pyrod and is NOT having these
issues? (Or managed to get 1080p via 360 working?)

I seem to recall reading that 1080P is only supported via VGA but that may
have been only for certain screens, so that may solve your issue there.

And you're just a troll. The Pyrod 37" IS a 1080P screen. Accepts VGA and DVI signals at that res from a PC just fine.
