Well that would be you're opinion. I've had it for over 12 months and its
worked perfectly. I'mm only selling it as i have no need for two PVR's in
the house anymore. Otherwise id be happy to keep it. Each to their own
though.

You happen to know nothing. My Wintal X10 has been happily acting as my

I thought I'd never ever see any Electronic that gets hotter than
anything made by D-Link, Faaark. And it doesn't handle glitches in
the signal at all. If the Disk Drive fails your F'ed, you can't put
any other brand drive or size as a replacement.

The hdd can be upgraded just fine with the right firmware. And with a 3 year
warranty, chances are you'd be getting the hdd replaced under warranty
anyway. Cant say i had any issues with sound or video glitches with my
unit...ran smooth as.

Why do people on these newsgroups get so damn wound up for no reason?
Can't people be given a fair go?
We're not all experts in every field... and if people are going to buy
something, they will surely do a little bit of research on what they intend
to buy before they buy it anyway. sheeeesh...
I was belted for asking what I thought was a reasonable question in
aus.electronics a few days ago. Apparently I'm a dickhead for not knowing
the answer to the question before asking it.
Good luck to you HaZ.

Mine doesn't, and if you go ask around and read through the many Wintal
threads on the DTV Forum:
http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?s=8381d932e7ee8f60aaef27d6dde89535&showforum=8
....you'll find that you most likely have a faulty unit.

My experience with the Wintal and its Philips tuner is that it's better
than any other digital receiver I've used so far in terms of handling
difficult signal conditions.

I have no idea what you are on or what you are talking about and I
take it others are finding the same thing.
