In early 2007 the only new Fords that I know are being released are the
FPV Force 6 and Force 8.
They are both Ford Fairmont Ghias but with the Typhoon and GTP Motors
Respectively.
Should be around $70k to take on the Senator etc range from HSV.
The 6.7 litre is a diesel motor in the F250 truck.
The Force 8 is a worthless piece of Crap, very soft, overweight and
feels slow.
The Force 6 feels like a totally different car much more like the
Typhoon with good power rush and usable torque.

I am not aware of any other 6.7 being imported into Australia,

Why would any one comment unless they knew what they are like?
I suggest you get a GTP and a Typhoon and drive them back to back, then
you will know the difference between the Ford V8 and the Turbo 6.

i have, for the last couple of months around the yard as they get shifted up
and down the country. theyre pretty pathetic competitors to the VE senator.
the only exciting cars in the ford range is the Typhoon/Tornado. All their
V8's are too heavy and underpowered compared to the Holden equivalents.

Spot on mate.
The FPV Turbo six is a mindblowingly better car than the 290 kwatt V8.
At the pre-prerelease 3 years ago (when they wanted to call it Phantom)
they were concerned about placing it directly against the higher priced
GTP.
So the decision was made to cut back the F6 power to 270 kW by only
having about 6 psi through the turbo and increase the pricing to be
just slightly below that of the GT 290 Kwatts.
Strangely though, they never considered that a 270 kwatt 6 would be
better than the 290 Kwatt V8.
Both are still rank amateurs alongside an EVO IX. But I suspect that
Mitsubishi are lying about their 206 Kwatt Its probably 220 kwatts
plus in standard guise.

$70k for a Ford, u must be on drugs.....Could not care if it hit
100km/h in 1sec, and raced around Bathurst track on production tyres in
under 2mins. its a Falcon, a taxi if you will, always was always will
be...
Frankly for grunt and value, a bog stock VE SS is hard to beat for the
coin

Not sure what a DIEsel has to do with this Falcon...anyway
The 7.3L PowerStroke is dead, buts as usual the new Ford 6L DIEsel that
replaced it, has been one of the biggest disasters lemons ever made,
its ok its a Ford thing

well youre talking about different cars completely there. the evo9 is fun to
thrash about and get blown away etc, but its uncomfortable and fairly
spartan otherwise. my large frame *cough* doesnt enjoy long periods in the
evo9, shoulders and guts to wide for the seats. same deal with the sti, its
ok for a while but they arent cruisers.
the f6 serves up a visceral experience in a decent cruiser package, so does
hsv currently. they are a jack of all trades, master of none kinda car.
exactly the sort most people want considering the variety of driving they
do.
the mitsu additionally is awful off boost, to be expected in a 2L. that puts
people off too, i like the idea of pottering around 2000rpm when in traffic
and more than easily keeping up, spent too long in 4pot screamers to want to
do it again. (plus have you seen the insane boosted F6's and Gen-T turboed
Gen3/4's getting around? now that is value power :)
