Too much for anyone to buy hopefully.
In this day and age we should be looking as conservation, not excesses IMO.

I'm definitely not part of the anti-"4WD" brigade, but I've noticed a
huge increase in people with F250s in recent months.
I watched, with some interest, some guy trying to reverse park one of
them in a car park in Bathurst the other day. He had a few goes at it
and eventually got it, but the nose was still sticking out. It just
didn't fit.
It makes me wonder what the motivation behind such a purchase would be.
Surely not *pure* necessity in all cases?

Rarely if ever a necessity I suspect.

I've had plenty of "goddammit!" moments because my dual cab Hilux
doesn't have a full tray, but I reckon it'd be much cheaper to get
something made up rather than buy one of these trucks.
Then there's Rodeo that has 50 million body types to choose from
already - including dual cab + extra long tray + 6 wheels.
Oh well, such are my ponderings after talking with Mr Jack Daniel for a
bit :-P

Some Holden dealers are already selling them here in Vic.[dont know
that GM/H would make of these parallel imports] for $120k, Kevin Dennis
in Sunshine has a few new ones in his yard
I asked a girlfriend of a mate [who wants to get one] who knows some
high managment personal at GM/H in Adelaide, and they claimed $60k,
Landcruiser money, of which in that case its not that expensive
Its a weird vehicle really
Look at the engine, 3.7L // IL5Cyl. what sort of combo is that?
It can drive without any preperation in 610mm of water [shove that up
ya arse Toyota:-)]
About $20k over what i want to spend, but maybe when it gets the axe
[read Suburban] can get a low mileage 2nd hand at the right price.[As
long as it does not fall apart like most USA made products]
Or wouldnt mind a LandRover 110, ex-army, fitted with the 4BDI Isuzu
donk, soft top rear etc, as a weekend 4x4 toy, still remember all the
off-road forest tracks from a decade ago....

They would be Hummer H2s for that price. MUCH larger vehicle, 6.0L V8, etc.

Well it starts from $29,995 in the USA, so figure about mid $50's here.
They will price it under the luxury tax threshold ($57k or so?). If I had
to guess on a price I'd say $53,990, which will place it directly (price
wise) against the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Subaru Tribeca, and others.
