Im going to sell my genuine RX-3 12A Body with 13B and twin webers
soon.
I bought it 2 years ago and had it resprayed in a Farm Shed out in
Rouse Hill. I had it resprayed the original Hershel orange and some
young kid walks up to MIL (who was staying in the House) and says hell
buy it for $500.00.
She looks at him and says I dont know anything about cars and my SIL
isnt selling it but after a new paint job and reconditioning the
engine, Im sure its worth more than $500. She took his name and number.
That night about 2.00 am she heard a noise and there was this kids car
parked out the front, she thought it was funny. She rang me next day
and I saw that the nose cone, headlights, all badges and rear lights
had been stolen.
Called the Cops, told them the story and gave the the young kids name
and phone number. They said it was circumstantial evidence and that
they could not question him.
I then rang him and he said I had no proof and that he knew where I
lived (not true as he only knew where my MIL lived) and he would have
me fixed up if I rang him again.
I went to the cops again and they said that a threat over the phone
wasnot worth investigating.
The following week on ebay I saw two of my items on ebay for sale (Mine
because I could see the Orange Overspray that I had not cleaned off
yet) The suburb was the next suburb to where I lived So I bid $1500 on
the nose cone and won it.
I then turned up at the house with two cars and 6 male friends. It was
a really magnificent home in Stanhope gardens. I held the part in my
hands and told the guy it was stolen from me and asked for the rest
back. He slammed the door in my face.
A third visit down to Riverstone Police station said they would look
into it and call me back. (Nothing happened)
Then thought about how clean and neat the home was and decided to wait
till the mum came home and phone about 6.30 to speak to her. She of
course denied that her precious son could ever be a thief until I asked
her to go into her sons bedroom and tell me whether he had the other
items stolen from the car in there.
She then admitted they were there and made an appointment with me to
give them back.
So I got back all bar the RX-3 Grille which he had sold prior and I had
to buy back from the purchaser.
The 18 year old loser got away a bit embarrassed but scott free.
The parents seemed like nice hard working people (they own a local
pre-school/kindergarten) who didnt deserve this shit for a son.
And I lost all interest in my RX3, put it together, registered it and
never drove it again.

Next thing it would want is a tow home just to feel what it's like. It
currently only knows about towing a broken down Landcruiser and a
Commodore, oh and a Ford ute with a starter problem.
