I got an IPOD/MP4 player for Christmas. Apart from itunes where do you go to
get music videos/ movies etc?
I might not be law abiding......

Bear Share or CDs your own. Best to rip stuff at 192kbps.

Not necessary with AAC. 128Kbps does the job just fine, and I'd assert that
99% of people would never be able to tell the difference.
As for Bearshare, avoid like the plague. It's infested with spyware.

I don't claim to be in that magic 1%, but I rip my CDs at 160kbps
AAC and I find that's a pretty good compromise.
As for the OP, BitTorrent seems to be where it's all at these days.
