Panasonic DMR-ES35V Question.

Is the Panasonic DMR-ES35V a region free combo recorder? If not, does anyone know of the unlock code? I have been searching around and only found 3 people asking for an unlock code (non-Australians). Other than that there have been no details and no responses I have come across in searches.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I like the look of this machine but like you was warey of the Regional coding as I could find no hack on the WWW.

However advice from Panansonic customer service Australia is that a software upgrade, through an approved service agent, is required to give Region Free operation. The cost for this, in Sydney, is said to be $35. Though I have not checked.

I guess they have to offer this in Australia as the Consumer Protection people said Regional Coding was anti-competative
