LG DVD Player DC593W vdr combo

I just bought this LG dvd/VCR combo player. I would like to know how to get vcds to play. i burnt a vcd to a 700mb cd and it dont work but plays in my computer fine as a vcd. Also mp3 disks dont work i read somewhere that u should only use 650mb disks for this maybe thats what i did wrong ill go check now.

Either the player dosn't support VCD's or CDR's, or both.
Same thing with the MP3's

thats the problem the manual says it supports all those things!!

The mp3 files probably got to be named in the dreaded dos 8.3 format with the three letters after the dot being "mp3"

The vcds probably need to be formatted as mpeg2.

Check the file formats on your disks and read the manual that goes with your dvd player.

Tried all those things and also it doesnt even play audio CD!!!!
I cant play audio cds but dvd movies work fine!! strange huh
anyone got any ideas??????????????????
When i put an audio cd in after 1 minute of loading it says disk error!
