I would like to know much I would be charged for ringing these (1800 and
1300) numbers on my Telstra (35c connection fee) untimed call plan.

Yeah, I know what some will say - ask Telstra. Well of course that was
the first thing I did - the answer they gave me was that they didn;t
know, and that it depends on how much the number I called charges!!!!

No matter what I said they insisted that was the correct answer, and
that I should ask each callee their charges!

I don't believe it - and might try Telstra another day, but hopefully
someone on this group has a better answer.

If you are talking about PSTN then 1800 numbers are free. 13 numbers are 30c
but that's home plan's other plans man cost more (or less) on the 13's.

If you are talking mobiles then it depends on your plan!

This is a mobile group, what did you think he was talking about?

1300 numbers - normal call cost
1800 numbers - normal air time of 11c / 30 secs

same as any mobile plan

Thanks Micheal, but I am still a little wary as the plan I am on (mobile of
course) charges 35c connection fee and is untimed to all nornal landlines and
all Telstra mobiles. But the brochure for this plan states that this does
not apply to1800 and 1300 (and 1900?) numbers hence my question as I use
those number a lot. And as per my original post, Telstra says the cost
depend on how much the called number charges - hence my confusion
