Because those are the fast food outlets' best customers. They should have a
special lane for Fat Families in Four Wheel Drives.

LOL! just thought of my friend's next door neighbour.

Being thin myself, I have although been known to drive
through a drive through. Sometimes it's best to make a
decision on the state of the drive though, parking
available and queue lengths inside the store.

Last time I went to one would be early January, drive
though looked stuffed, so parked and ordered takeaway
at the counter.

Heh, I very nearly ended up in a punch up with some psycho driving his
Kia people mover in the local Red Rooster drive through last week. My
local RR has a notoriously slow drive through at times, and this day was
one of them. Pulled into the lane behind RR, to access the drivethrough
and car park, and found cars everywhere. Quite loudly I have said hurry
up. Nothing more, nothing less, as a general statement about the drive
through. Psycho in front hits the anchors (from his 2 km/h crawl), and I
pulled in to the car park, hearing all sorts of screaming behind me.
Ignoring the noise, I get out, lock car, etc, and find psycho hanging
out the window screaming all sorts of obsenities. I pulled him up and
promptly gave him a wtf? The bloke completely lost it, with the missus
and all 7 or so kids in the car. I started laughing at him hoping he
would have the balls to exit car and chat civilly, be it with words or
fists but instead he wouldn't step out. Just had to show his family what
a hothead he was by using big bad words.

Found it quite interesting to know I was a fucking wanker cunt whore
bitch cunt fucking arsehole prick cunt motherfucker because the drive
through was slow :D And I will not be surprised to hear his kids using
these words at school.

Next time I see him I'll again tell him to hurry up. And the next time
after that I see him again. And the time after. And again and again and
again until he has a nervous breakdown or I no longer find it amusing :)

Thats often the fastest as well. Ive only ever been to one Maccas where I
feel the drive through is faster than counter service. (Oxley)

I used to deliver to a servo at Broadbeach that included a Maccas onsite
the drivethru enwas right next to where I parked to unload
and through the genius of engineers the loading dock for the fat food
deliveries was also right next to the drivethru entry

so one night I arrive and there is "fat food" truck on the loading dock
I pull up at the fuel delivery point and guess what, it blocks the
drivethru entry
just as I get out a Taxi pulls up and fat driver starts on me about
moving so he can get through, after some time with fat driver still
going on I said "why don't you get your fat arse out of the cab and walk
in and buy your fat food
he got so pissed off that he drove off blabbering on about never coming
back to this store again
and I thought I was lazy

Another aspect of the drive through that seems to be changing
was the old speaker/microphone/headset ordering system.

There were about five "what did you say?" from each end,
which didn't really speed things up. Especially if you got the
impression the person wearing the headset taking the order
was a helpdesk operator from India (and probably was).

I think Maccas has been changing this to an order window
and delivery window which makes things quicker.

Reminds my of my friend's next door neighbour, again and
his kids. He is a nice bloke though, so don't think he would
actually do that. He and his kids come up with interesting
words from time to time though when they get the shites
with each other.
