I just received a new Omni 3102 from Galas as a replacement for a Omni 2000, however it already seems to have problems....
The player keeps freezing up when playing "Chicken Run" - particulary Chapter 12 (the previous player Omni 2000 also had this problem)
When playing "The Mummy" it jumps straight to playing the movie with the director's soundtrack switched on and refuses to allow me to select the dvd title menu.
The problem of refusing to allow me to access the dvd title menu seems to occur on many titles, but on "Galaxy Quest" it worked fine....
The player "stutters" all over the place when playing the intros for "Independence Day" and "Starship Troopers", but then seems to recover and plays the rest of the movie OK.
Interestingly enough "Mummy","ID4" and "Troopers" all played just fine on the 2000 model....
Good things I can say about this player is that the NTSC to PAL conversion is very smooth and looks great, and the look of the unit is very good too.
I just find these playback faults a real frustration.
