Soniq qmr301b multiregion hack?

Hi guys,

Just got a cheap dvd recorder Soniq qmr301b and was wondering if anyone knew how to get it to play dvds from all regions?

I'm new to forums but i've been reading lots of US based ones trying to find a way to burn copyright protected DVDs using my Soniq DVD Recorder.

I've found out all about Video Stabilzers (stabiliSers), which I assume is what i need, but i can't seem to find anything like that available in Australia?

Does anyone know what I need to do to enable this machine to burn protected DVD's??

Thanks for your reply, Has anyone tried the Dr Video before? Does it work to copy protected DVD's.... it doesn't mention this on it's write-up (understandably) so i just want to check before i buy one.

For the QMR301B - just got it from the tech support of Soniq, works on my unit :)

Power up the unit with no cd/dvd on the tray
Press "eject" on your remote to eject the tray
Press "setup" on your remote
Key in "5018" using your remote
Key in "0"
Press "play" on your remote

Tada~ a region free dvd recorder

Tried this but unfortunately the machine keeps reverting back to Region 4.

Has a step been left out or is there some other way of changing the code to "0".

had the same prob, followed the instructions but it still resets back to region 4. anyone else know how to sort it?
