Thought I'd post and ask here as there's many uber-geek HT freaks here :)

Basically I'd like to find some true HD videos available for download
(preferably free) that I can run on my HTPC, just so I can see what my
new screen is really capable of...

No need for massive files or full length features, just something that
runs for a few minutes would be fine (although I'll take what I can get).

I've done one search but not really come up with anything of use.

Also, possibly an optimal media player for same... I normally use Media
Player Classic for all video files, not sure if it is suitable for the
above?

TIA for any good suggestions.

If you liked The Fifth Element, there's a 720p high-definition WMV
version on bitTorrent. It's worth the wait for the 4+ GBs of download, IMO.
