I am considering buying either the Pentax 100D or the Nikon 40D.
The Pentax has a stabilizer and better lens options but i like Nikons
quality.
I an not a fanatical photographer but I enjoy taking landscapes and
portraits.
I would appreciate any comments that may help me decide.

FWIW, I have both a *1stDS and a D50. I bought the Pentax to use my huge
collection of Pentax-thread lenses. Since I bought the Nikon, I've hardly
touched the Pentax. Still like it, but the Nikon wins.

Not so sure about ther D40, though. I think I'd lash out on a 70 or an 80.

Pentax, quite frankly. The range
of lenses is good and the anti-shake
on the camera makes a lot more sense
than inside the lens.

wait for the Nikon D40X before deciding.
