Have just purchsed Leadtek Win2000 XP deluxe video capture card. It works fine, expcept that Channel 7 and Channel 28 (australia) have a perfect picture but a hissing background noise. All other channels work perfectly.

Can anyone help on this.

Thanks

Need Help too!!!!
I bought the same card and have it connected to roof top antenna and get perfect picture on channel 7 but the same hissing sound. I can fine tune the channel manually to remove the hissing to a large extent but the picture also degrades slightly.

I have the same problem (not sure which channels)... and fine tuning was the go. Just assumed it was related to the cost/quality of the card.

I have the same problem, how do you even manually tune the channel with WinFast PVR?

Here are the steps:

Enable the WinfastWizard from the start menu.
This will add the wizard to the system tray.

Then use the remote control and hit the fine tune up/down buttons.

This is why i don't really like analogue TV tuners.

The signals get played around with from the antenna to your computer.
Especially when the signal comes close to your computer, all the magnetic fields stuffs up the analogue signal.

This causes the degration in the picture and sound. HDTV is the new way to go. These digital signals wont be affected by your computer's hardware and surrounding equipment.
