Issues playing Buzz and Singstar Games on PS3?

Does anyone know of any?

If they work fine on the ps3, my sister will let me trade in the ps2, even though its my anyway :rolleyes:

A fair few PS2 aren't backwards compatible on the PS3, check the list on the Sony site to see if they are on the list of working titles.

I found this on wikipedia, am i reading it right, in getting the sense it wont work?


The PlayStation 3 does not include interfaces for legacy PlayStation peripherals, though IGN.com tested a legacy controller using a PS2-to-USB adapter, finding that it is compatible, though most other devices (such as the Guitar Hero controller) may not be compatible.[59] Nyko started production on the "Play Adaptor", a PS3-to-USB adapter allowing for guitars and other PlayStation 2 peripherals to be used on the PlayStation 3 and was scheduled for release in Q2/2007, but Nyko stated at the end of March that the production of this device had been postponed due to compatibility problems with the PS3.[60] The PS3 supports both the USB EyeToy camera/webcam and SOCOM Headset for video and voice chat. I think the peripherals will work soon (but no guarantees) so it would be best to keep the PS2 and buy the PS3 anyway. Trade in would be a $100 max. I would've done that but I had traded in before the issue was known.

As JimJim says check the website. (not fully updated as system update 1.70 is out now, and the data is only for 1.60)
