Hi All,

I tried to search for this problem , but couldn't locate a thread on it.

I've had a Pioneer DVR-310-s for over 3 years now, and never had a problem.

Lately, when I put a dvd in , (mainly copies) , it won't read the disc anymore and just spits it back out.
It was reading these very discs a while ago, but now just ejects them when I try to play. Confused!

Some of the dvd's I am trying to watch are ones that I actually recordered on this DVD recorder, so they should be able to read.

Anyone experienced this also, or got any advice?

Thanks

cala, the lasers can get 'tired' (for want of a better term) after a while.
You could try a laser cleaning kit, but it may make no difference.

thanks andw.

so I may have to get it repaired.

do you think it is worth it or should I look at purchasing a new recorder?

Honestly don't know, I suppose it is a case of balancing repair cost against replacement cost and factoring in new features on a new model.
Probably worth getting a new one these days.
