wanting recommendations for a good cheap player, just want one for the bedroom, has to play dvd-r both 8x & 16x media & Xvid (mostly downloaded files), Would also like multizone & NTSC to PAL conversion because it will be hooked up to an old telly which doesn't do ntsc. This feature isn't that important though coz i might just get a newer style tv soon anyway. Is conversion a common feature on the cheapies or only on the more expensive models? I have Strathfield, JB. Kmart, BigW near me so something from one of those would be good, also MSY which has some Maya brand players on their website for $70
