I nearly finished concocting my conspiracy theory as to what happened
to you. Welcome back.

As opposed to the indecent ones the rest of us use?

Don't forget to configure it to add "X-No-Archive: Yes" in the
header...

And create a .sig file in the top directory of your account.

LOL. Indeed.

Welcome back tobes.

I tried emailing feral because he'd disappeared. His email bounced.

I was going to email you as well but didn't get around to it. :-p

Not that anybody is obliged to obey. :-)

I'm still using 'nn'. You have to roll your own from source if you
want it... www.nndev.org which works well with a local 'leafnode'
NNTP server on the same box to manage the transfers between one or
more subscribed news servers.

Before you get worried too much by my impending silence (or just
waste bandwidth formulating conspiracy theories); I'm off to look at
some purple cows and to legally drive at the design speeds of some
roads.

In all likelihood, I will survive driving at 180+ on roads similar
to those with a posted limit of 80 in Australia. There'll just be 5
times as much traffic on them.

Even ".signature"

It's clearly a copy - we all know the *real* Toby was kidnapped by
Insurance Industry hired goons, given to the USA in exchange for David
Hicks, and is now enjoying Caribbean ocean views and contemplating his
navel. In order to protect the insurance scamsters, and their
political slaves, of course. Duh!

I've been obscenely busy working.

No matter how hard I try, I just don't seem to be able to get the
quantity of work under control.

I have decided, effective immediately, that I'm no longer doing reports
on faulty stuff for consumer tribunals, etc.. They keep supoenaing me,
which results in at least one lost work day and doesn't even vaguely
cover the cost of that.

I'm also probably heading for a small mid-year price rise.

I suspect that he's just changed ISPs.

That'd make a change. Most of the ones I've seen recently have looked
pretty pathetic.
