Help required. I need software to produce a letter-headed page
on which I can type various stuff. IE; For invoicing/billing etc.
Just
a basic letterhead and some print at the bottom but with space
between to type different stuff each time without shunting the bottom
print down.
I am NOT an office walla & personally detest this kinda thing. I use
Winword for letters (as little as possible) and clueless as far as the
finer point go.
Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

You should be able to use one of the samples that comes with Winword
depending on the vintage and just edit the same to the text you want.

The way I do this is with Excel.
Make the heading and the footer of the page with the required stuff.
Import a logo picture etc.
Fill in the middle with your items. You can setup your columns so each
time you just fill it in with your invoicing data.
The page stays the same between top and bottom.
Print without grid lines.
Set the print area which will stay embedded into the document.
Check to see how it looks - there are quite a few options in the page setup.
You only have to get it right once - Save this and keep as your templet -
Each time you use this - save as - your new file name etc.

If you alread have Word, try this:
Open new document
Menu bar, 3rd from left, select View, then Headers and footers.
You will see a section at top and bottom that you can type your details
into and format as you like.
When finish click Close on the headers toolbar which appears, or double
click the middle section of the page.
The header and footer will appear greyed out, on every page of the document,
Cheers

Thank you a large bunch, guys. Header & Footer did the job (apart from
ME getting an extra page from somewhere?) but got rid of it sharpish.
I HATE office crap.
