Hi all.

I've got a 10 month old HD 42" Viera Plassie which seems to have
developed a bit of a problem. I've got a green strip on the left side
that extends across the height of the screen. I've tried switching
between all the inputs but to no avail, and there's no chance that it
is magnetic interference from speakers etc. (The stripe is razor
sharp so I assume the problem is with the electronics.)

Has anyone else experienced the same problem? I've logged a call with
Panasonic but haven't had a response as yet.

Thanks all,

Justin

One thing in your favour - it's a warranty repair job. :-)

Possible problems
- panel fault
- driver electronics fault
- something conductive had somehow found its way into the electronics and
has caused a fault by probably shorting something out and as a result that
row of pixels to become permanently switched on.

Look on the bright side of things. If it's a panel fault you may get a new
set to replace it.
Hope it gets resolved soon and to your satisfaction. Keep the group posted.

Cheers,
Alan
