I've just bought an XMS DVD player (not sure of the model) that supports MP3. The instruction booklet is pretty light on for info, just says insert the CD and away you go. I put in a CD of MP3's that I had burnt just as separate files, but the DVD doesn't seem to recognise it. I'm just wondering if there is a specific format or method that needs to be used for copying MP3's to a CD in order for them to be accessed via the DVD player. The CD works fine on a PC.

I have a XMS-750 (original version)
and have had no problems.
The 750 (orig) plays all MP3's
in alphabetical order including subdirectories.
ie. will play all mp3's in main directory before
going on to subdirectory entitled 'a' before going on
to 'b' etc.
I'm fairly sure it doesn't like VBR MP3's (it definately
doesn't like VBR VCD and SVCD) but I've
only burnt one MP3 CD. I think it also max's
out at around 150 tracks.

Does the disk work at all? Or does it throw a fit
and say 'No disc'?
It could be the way you burnt it? Was it a finalised
disc or did you play with multisession?

In any case there is no specific format for the XMS-750
at least. But since you don't know what model you have....
