Windows keeps reminding me that I have 17 updates to install. However,
I cannot install even one (I've tried all of them, one at a time), not
even KB922582, "
A problem has been identified in Filter Manager that can prevent you
from installing updates from Windows update. You can help protect your
computer by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install
this item, you may have to restart your computer."

I have Windows XP Home Edition, Version 5.1 (Build
2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254 : Service Pack 2).

I have 228,720 KB memory available to Windows.

I have an AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2500+ , 1.83 GHz.

I have Windows firewall turned on, and I have run Yahoo Anti-Spy and
Spybot Search and Destroy. I need to install all the Windows updates so
I can take advantage of Comcast Cable's free anti-virus software. Does
anyone have any ideas on this?
