On January 23, Roadshow Entertainment presents ENEMY AT THE GATES starring Jude Law, Joseph Feinnes, Ed Harris, Rachel Weisz and Bob Hoskins to rent and own on DVD.

Hailed for its epic scale and masterful battle sequences, Enemy at the Gates is the biggest and most expensive film production ever created.

Directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud Enemy at the Gates portrays historical events blended with the intimate and personal lives of those involved.

Legendary Russian sniper, Vassili Zaitsev (Law) has become a national hero with the full support of the Soviet political officer Danilov (Fiennes) and the endorsement of the local commander, Nikita Kruschev (Hoskins). The inspiration he gives to the Russian army might just be enough to tip the balance of power and save Stalingrad from the German forces.

To break the Russian spirit the Germans send in a cunniong sharpshooter, Major Konig (Harris). As the city crumbles around them, Vassili and Major Konig begin a cat and mouse game of daring, skill and patience. In this one-on-one struggle to the death, each man is waiting for the perfect shot... and only one of them will walk out of Stalingrad alive.

Enemy at the Gates features a Widescreen presentation, Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 audio and English subtitles for the hearing impaired.

Additional special features include nine additional scenes, 'Pier', 'Trenches', 'Soup Time', 'Sleep Koulikov', 'Black Cats', 'Tania Cries', 'Hang On', and 'Danilov's Report'.

"Through the Crossfire" , delves into the creation of the film and includes interviews with the cast and Director as they discuss the true history that inspired the film.

"Inside Enemy at the Gates" features in depth interviews with the director and cast, on the research and training employed to bring the story to the screen.

ENEMY AT THE GATES runs for 125 minutes and is rated MA15+ and is also available to rent on video.

In 2002, Roadshow Entertainment will continue to deliver fresh and exciting DVD titles including Rush Hour 2, Spy Kids and Don't Say A Word.
