Pardon my Germanic... how the fuck could someone sue the owner of the house outside of road reserve of which a council has ownership????
Sounds typically ACA/TT 1st grade tabloid crap to me. Jeez, sue if you must, but sue the party that wronged!!
(Little anecdote by a mate of mine. He works for the Distance Education Centre WA in Oxford St, Leederville. A woman was walking by early in the morning and noticed that some pavers were lifted by a tree root. She checks around for traffic, and when there was some vehicles about to drive by, she falls forward to the ground. A driver stops to see if she is alrigh. She sues Town of Cambridge. My mate was called as a witness by Cambridge. She didn't know he was there or could see her. Her case turns into a horrible mess, and loses. She not only had outstanding medical bills, but she had to pay costs as well. Poor thing. Rubbing some salt into the wound, the council fixed the lifted pavers the same day as the women fell. I love that story to death.)
