It was seen in tassie(small town) next to the courts, forestry, fees & tax
tassie and the local gov co counsil office.
Funny every time I go in here I here the local counsil chairman coughing
his guts out, I always and just about to shout, collar outbreak, and run
out the door,he normally starts coughing as I tell fees & tax Tas that
my residenial address is a 1m x 1m shed located 100km from my mailing
adress..lol..and the counsil secretary then starts tapping her keyboard
frantically.
Any way I was pulling in to renew my licence illegally,(apparently once
your licence expires yopu are not allowed to drive),well this was not an
option so I had to drive illegally 50km and low and behold, right at the
entrance was the brandnew Toyota sedan all wizzed up with lights, stiff
suspension and police markings.
Yippie....Tasmania Police is going Broke

just imagine this
you are driving along and someone pulls out in front of you
you seriously injure them and write off their brand new Bentley GT
YOU will bear the cost of replacing this car and may have to pay for
their medical costs
all because you were too lazy/ignorant/tight/off ya face on magic
mushrooms to renew your licence before it expired

In such cases all they can do is take a civil case against him, and if he
ain't got any money they can't get blood out of a stone.

True enough.
But then they get a judgement out demanding payment.
Which won't happen.
Which is followed by a contempt charge.
Which is followed by a summons.
Which is followed by an arrest.
Which is followed by another court case - for contempt of court just
for starters.
Which is followed by sentencing for that charge, which may or may not
include a jail term.
Of course, jail may well not be the result of round one.
But it will be, maybe after round two, or three.
So, "bingo" - there IS a debtors prison - right over there - right next
to the one for dwugs, murder, biff, theft etc etc..

They get a judgement based on what he can afford to pay, and if he has
nothing and is on welfare that'll be fuck didly. All he has to do to avoid
future entanglements is make the 5 buck a month payments and his obligations
are met.
He can even arrange for Centrelink to automatically deduct them from his
dole payments.

I'm pretty sure he professes to own the property he lives on
the one with no house or sheds as far as the council is concerned as
they are not approved buldings, the ones that when they blow apart in a
storm and damage the neighbor's property will leave him liable
again
some people have no clue about protecting their major assets
