On January 9, Roadshow Entertainment presents DRIVEN starring Sylvester Stallone, Burt Reynolds, Gina Gershon, Kip Pardue and Estella Warren to rent and own on DVD.
If you like your action fast, then this is the DVD for you, featuring coverage of real Grand Prix races from around the globe and the fastest car chase sequence ever filmed.
Beau Brandenburg (Til Schweiger) is a world champion racing driver with his first real threat in years. Rookie driver, Jimmy Bly (Pardue) is the hottest new name on the circuit and if he keeps his eyes on the finishing line, he will cross it first. But the media attention and female distractions are affecting his performance and so Tanto (Stallone) a former hotshot is brought in to support Jimmy.
Tanto is a veteran with a wild reputation who makes the perfect mentor, he's lost races, cheated death and knows that it takes only a momentary lapse in concentration and the driver is history.
Put the pedal to the metal for full throttle racing action from Director Renny Harlin (Die Hard and Long Kiss Goodnight) as Driven puts you in the driving seat.
Driven features a Widescreen presentation, Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 audio as well as English subtitles for the hearing impaired. Plus cast & crew biographies and a theatrical trailer.
Additional Special Features include Director Renny Harlin's Audio Commentary deleted scenes with original soundtrack or optional commentary by Sylvester Stallone.
"The Making of Driven" features facts, figures and audio clips from the cast and crew as they discuss the creation of Driven.
"Conquering Speed Through Visual Effects" - Dan Corbett, Lead Digital Compositor, Brian Jennings, Visual Effects Supervisor and Renny Harlin explain how the amazing crash scenes and fast car races were created through digital technology.
DRIVEN runs for 114 minutes and is rated PG and is also available to rent on video.
In 2002, Roadshow Entertainment will continue to deliver fresh and exciting DVD titles including Rush Hour 2, Spy Kids and Don't Say A Word.
