I dunno, I don't mind it actually. Mazda's done a pretty good job
with the crayons recently, even if the mechanicals are still a bit
suspect.

It could...except that article claims that the 2 is now the lightest
car in its class, so unless the Getz, Yaris etc are all 8 tons then I
wouldn't worry about that.

Wow... that rounded front end looks like it was designed in 1997. And why
is it called the "2" if it replaced the 121? Shouldn't it be the Mazda1?
