Problem with Omni DX-4300

I have a DX-4300 which has started leaving scratches on the DVD's it plays - roughly in a circular track, about halfway between the centre and the rim.

I guess it's a silly question, but is there anything I can do for it other than dump it? It's out of warranty now, the Galas helpline were unable to say anything other than repeat that fact lol

I'd say dump it before it damages any more of your discs is probably the best option

Thanks. I did try Strathfield to see whether they would take it back, but not after 17 months.
