Further to my previous (sadly unanswered) question, I have another. The machine ony has coaxial or optical audio outputs, but my old ( and very reliable) Sony amp only has RCA inputs. Any suggestions where I might be able to get coaxial audio to RCA double pin cable - Dick Smith Powerhouse at Moore Park doesn't seem to have any. Or is this a technical impossibility? Thanks for any help. .

The coxial cable would be carrying 5.1 channel audio, splitting this down to 2 channel is impossible without a decoder. :(

Hi Drooble,
Just looking at the Sony website, they claim that the RDRHXD760 has audio out, co-ax audio out and fibre audio out. Are you sure there are no L/R audio jacks (red and white in colour)? It seems odd to me.

I am using the audio out to send audio to the TV - am wanting the second audio out to listen to CDs through the amp and movies when I want to have a bigger sound. Obviously I should just give up and listen through the amp?
Thanks for your help.

That's different!
I suggest using the amp for all audio. Doesn't the amp have co-ax or f/o audio inputs?
Rob.
I see it doesn't

Why not simply buy 2 or 3 cheap "RCA adaptor widgets"
( 1 x RCA Plug - 2 x RCA Sockets ) from your local "$2 shop" or $4 each from Dick Smiths/etc #P6610 http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/46918c1b04ada7942741c0a87f9c0751/Product/View/P6610
Just send the single L & R RCA outputs two ways! TV & Stereo AMP -I've done this for years. Remember to buy an Yellow/Red/While RCA cable as well (save two trips).
