View Full Version : MIO C510 Lockup Problems

I have a MIO C510 navigator. Have had it lock up on me twice. Not while
functioning. I turn it of via the push button switch on the side. I turned
it on a few days later to check the battery charge. It opened to the main
map menu and froze.
I had to turn it off via a small slider switch under the unit then turn it
back on. From there it booted up to the main menu that allows you to
either start MIO Map, the nav software, or the accessories, such as the
MP3 player.
Just wondering if anyone here has a MIO or similar running the Windows CE
operating system and have experienced similar issues.

In terms of the last para of your post - this problem represents a
significant advance for micro$oft systems.
The locked screen was not BSOD...

Does it actually say Windows CE? I thought they dropped that name in

I s'pose it is Windows Mobile. But bluetoofh, for example, on my phone
sees it as "Windows CE". That's why I refered to it as such.

Not sure what your point is, Toby. I was asking if others who own
navigators running the same OS have had problems of a similar nature.

Just drawing attention to the difference between a 'freeze' and a
'crash', is all:-)

What is the difference between the two, particularly when both require a
hardware reset?
