I recently purchased a couple of LG usb 1.1 players.

LH-T3602ME basic home theatre in a box. Retails for ~ $260 including amp, speakers etc. Only RCA connections. No S Video. No Optical. No Coaxial. OK for kids room.

DV298H dvd player with hdmi, optical, coaxial, usb. in the lounge.

What I find bizarre is the LH-T3602ME has a much better designed interface/remote. You can choose RADIO/DVD/AUX/USB and it moves between each function seamlessly. Whereas the DV298H only functions as a USB player when the disc tray is empty.

However it is the USB playback that has me scratching my head. The DV298H takes twice as long to load a divx file and the playback is a little jerky. Using exactly the same file and the same usb stick, the LH-T3602ME loads quickly and the playback is smooth. The LG poverty pack outperforms the LG slimline luxury pack! Why?

Can anyone recommend a similar player to the LG LH-T3602ME but with better than AV connections such as s-video, hdmi, coaxial, optical etc. Home theatre not important.
