I didn't read all the ad but the first question I had was 'is it legal'.
Wheels that large wouldn't be legal without approval (eg. Engineers
Certificate). Susupension altered to that extent would also be an ADR or
engineering related issue as well.

For what it is, I can appreciate the vehicle but it's appeal is for a very
limited market of buyers.

The suspension is only lifted 1 inch which is within the limits of 2inch

the Body is lifted 4 inches which I think is a tad outside the limit of
2 inches(depending what state your in)

yes the wheels and tyres are over the legal limit but a set of stock
wheels fitted for a RWC would be fine

Double the limit is a bit more than a tad :)

They'd look no more ridiculous than the ones it's currently wearing anyway.

I know why people bother doing shit like that. If they wanted a decent off
road car an old FJ40 would cost less and shit all over that thing.

And the guy's probably wondering why he can't sell it. Just like those who
tart up VN Commodores, put plastic crap all over them, spend more than the
car's value on a doof-doof system, then when they go to flog it, no-one's
interested.

I've gotta get a photo of this van that's always parked near my joint. It
looks like a typical Econovan style of van but with plastic fairing bits
and pieces tacked onto it and two sets of twin pipes exiting the rear.

The guy's turned a brick into a bigger brick, with the addition of front
air dam that just extends the frontal profile closer to the ground.

Extremely limited, I'd say, given that no bids were made...

And a tad overpriced too, given that price was just the opening bid price.
Glass's Guide suggests around $2k for that particular model.

It's becoming a trend.

There's one around here somewhere (a Hi-Ace) that looks like something out
of War of the Worlds. Makes me want to hurl my lunch each time I see it.
